SPI to Undertake Economic Impact Study of Iceland’s Screen Production Incentive

The Icelandic Ministry of Culture and Business Affairs has commissioned Olsberg SPI (SPI) to undertake an economic impact evaluation of Iceland’s Screen Production Incentive.  

The study will look at the direct, indirect and induced impacts of the national film incentive and its wider impacts on sector development, workforce, and infrastructure.

The aim of the project is to investigate and quantify the role played by Iceland’s production incentive in the country’s economy and establish a baseline. This follows an increase in the Icelandic incentive in 2022.
