SPI Executives to Participate in 2024 Saudi Film Confex

Olsberg•SPI’s (SPI) Executive Chair, Jonathan Olsberg and Managing Director, Leon Forde will be participating in the second edition of the Saudi Film Confex in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, later this week (9th-12th October 2024).

Leon will be moderating a panel on How A.I. Revolution and Technology are Shaping Filmmaking. This session will explore the transformative impact of artificial intelligence and other technological advancements on the filmmaking process. The panel will discuss AI applications in pre-production, production, and post-production, along with the ethical and practical challenges, and predict future trends. Leon will be joined by: Michael Wolfson, Marc Antoine and Qian Fang.

Meanwhile, Jonathan will be participating in an expert panel on The Growth of International Content and Potential Investments, drawing from SPI’s international insights on the changing geography of production content and investment. Jonathan will be joined by Fatima Fahd and David Unger​.

Following the success of the inaugural Saudi Film Confex in 2023, the event promises to bring together filmmakers, producers, distributors, and investors from Saudi Arabia and beyond, featuring an exhibition, international conference, workshops, and interactive activities.
