Strategies for Sustainable Film Businesses

In early 2010, SPI was commissioned by UK Film Council to produce a report that would assist the UK Film Council Board in its deliberations on a possible new paradigm for building UK-based film companies of scale (where film production is a major element of the business model). This assignment thus involved a thorough analysis of the current public policy interventions in place which have been designed to support the growth of film companies of scale, in nine different territories. The key findings of this study went on to informing a major think tank organised by the Chairman of the UKFC.
