SPI Study Commissioned to Sustainably Develop the Fort Worth Screen Sector
Olsberg•SPI (SPI) has been commissioned by the Fort Worth Film Commission in Texas to undertake a study that will be leveraged to develop the city’s screen sector.
The report comprises three of SPI’s key services that not only map the current capacity of the sector but also demonstrate its current and future potential through light-touch measurement of its economic impact:
A Production Infrastructure and Capacity Analysis (PICA) that provides a robust and well-evidenced assessment of the city of Fort Worth’s capacity to support increased levels of screen production
An Economic Impact Study (EIS) to demonstrate the impact on Fort Worth of specifically identified productions
A Micro Impact Analysis comprising a Ripple Analysis that presents the impacts of production expenditure in the city in more detail, along with a Vendor Spend Heat Map to visually present the location and intensity of production expenditure.
This Study is being conducted during a time when the Texas state legislature recently approved the highest-ever increase for the incentives budget from US$45 million to US$200 million, alongside other key measures to boost the industry.
