SPI’s Study into the Size, Shape and Value of Norfolk’s Screen Sector Published

The Personal History of David Copperfield (2019), filmed in King's Lynn

A new SPI in-depth study on the Norfolk screen sector, commissioned by Norfolk County Council, its District Council partners, and the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership, has been published.

The study utilised desk research, consultations and an inaugural industry survey to create an evidence base of the value, size and shape of the film, television, animation and commercials sectors in the UK county of Norfolk.

This included the creation of a database of Norfolk's production companies, crew and infrastructure, and ultimately provided recommendations for the sector's future support, development and marketing. The project also drew from examples of approaches from elsewhere in the UK in considering how Norfolk can become a film location of choice for the national and international screen sector.

A link to the Executive Summary of the report can be found here.

A recording of the study’s hybrid launch last month can be found here.
