SPI Recruit Expert Panel for Global Production Awards

In January, SPI announced our new partnership with Screen International on the inaugural Global Production Awards. This is an exciting new initiative celebrating outstanding and sustainable work in the world of film and TV production, locations, and studios. 

The Global Production Awards are open to all organisations and companies working in the film and TV industry, including studios, production companies, film commissions, locations, suppliers and manufacturers and any services involved in film and TV production.

Each of the 12 categories will be judged by leading industry experts from around the world, and co-chaired by SPI Executive Chair Jonathan Olsberg and SPI Managing Director Leon Forde, along with Screen International editor Matt Mueller

  • Anamaria Antoci – executive director, European Women’s Audio-visual Network

  • Bird Runningwater – Sundance/Amazon

  • Bradley Joshua – CEO & executive producer, Gambit Films (South Africa)

  • Charlotte Appelgren – general secretary, CineRegio

  • Colleen Bell – executive director, California Film Commission

  • Edison Viana – producer, Moonshot (Brazil)

  • George David – consultant, formerly manager director at Royal Jordan Film Commission

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at the Cannes Film Festival on May 22, 2023.
