SPI Managing Director Presents Key Findings of Best Practice in Screen Sector Development at Cannes
Today, Olsberg•SPI’s (SPI) Managing Director Leon Forde presented the key findings from the upcoming 2024 Best Practice in Screen Sector Development study at Cannes. The Key Findings Deck is now available for download.
The presentation was part of the Global Film Commission Network Summit, organised by the Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI), in partnership with Marché du Film - Festival De Cannes.

The original 2019 edition of Best Practice in Screen Sector Development was the first of its kind to provide a global analysis of governments' strategies, policies, and other interventions to maximise their share of the screen production market.
As detailed in Leon’s presentation, the updated 2024 edition features expanded analysis, insights and case studies into the global screen production sector’s evolving landscape, across seven research areas:
Automatic incentives
Workforce capacity
Physical infrastructure
Film-friendliness
Diversity, equity and inclusion
Sustainability
Stakeholder engagement.
