Olsberg•SPI study on screen tourism launched with Westminster briefing

Quantifying Film and Television Tourism in England, a new study produced by Olsberg•SPI for Creative England in association with VisitEngland, has been launched with a report briefing held for MPs in Westminster on 10th March 2015. The project assesses the impact of screen tourism to England outside of London, with SPI developing a robust methodology to isolate and value core domestic and international screen tourists at a number of locations using in-person and online surveys. The work also involved estimating the annual value of international screen tourism to England outside of London, as well as providing a number of recommendations for maximising the screen tourism opportunity at a time when the UK is seeing very high levels of film and television production.

The full report can be accessed here, while the Study was also the subject of a story in national UK newspaper The Observer.
