Malta – Development Strategy for the Audiovisual Industry

SPI was retained by the Maltese government to conduct an analysis of the present infrastructure, policies and resources for the film industry in Malta. The study included an assessment of key decision-making factors used by industry leaders when choosing a shooting location, as well as an investigation of possible synergies between the international film industry and the domestic television industry. The report offered a roadmap and recommended an action plan of realisable initiatives to be undertaken by Government in order to fully develop Malta's audiovisual infrastructure.
