Leon Forde to Present at the Reykjavik International Film Festival

SPI Associate Director Leon Forde will speak about the economic and cultural impacts of film production during a seminar at the Reykjavik International Film Festival in Iceland on October 4th. Leon will participate in a panel discussion on the Reykjavik Film City production facility and the wider opportunities offered by a thriving film production sector. Hosted by Icelandic Film Centre Director Laufey Guðjónsdóttir, the participants will include director and producer Baltasar Kormákur, Mayor of Reykjavik Dagur B. Eggertsson, Chairman of the Association of Icelandic Film Producers Kristinn Þórðarson, Former Minister of Industry Ragnheiður Elín Árnadóttir, Film in Iceland’s Sveinn Birkir Björnsson, Copenhagen Film Fund CEO Thomas Gammeltoft, and Chairman of the Board of Icelandic private film fund ISOLD Thierry Potok. The Reykjavik International Film Festival runs from September 28th to October 8th, 2017.
