Jonathan Olsberg to Moderate Two Panels at AFCI Cineposium

SPI Chairman Jonathan Olsberg will moderate two panels on the global production deluge at AFCI Cineposium 2019 in St Petersburg later this month. Leon Forde will also attend from SPI.

Content Boom (Part 1) will focus on the television and streaming services phenomenon, asking how this is disrupting the global production and consumer landscape, and how producers and talent can meet this unprecedented demand. Jonathan will be joined by Tomasz Dabrowski (EMEA Production Policy, Netflix), Olga Filipuk (CEO, Yandex Studio), Ashley Rice (EVP Physical Production, Legendary Television & Digital Media), and Jay Roewe (SVP West Coast Production, HBO).

Content Boom (Part 2) will then look at seizing this opportunity: the production hubs of the future, building production infrastructure, and the dangers of an overheated production ecosystem. Speakers for this panel are Todd Christensen (Director, New Mexico State Film Office), Andrew Reid (Head of Production, Northern Ireland Screen), Nick Smith (former Commercial Director, Pinewood), and Dr Marijana Stoisits (CEO, Vienna Film Commission).

Both panels will take place on 13th September 2019 at the Corinthia Hotel, St Petersburg. Following the panels, SPI will also present a new report for AFCI on Best Practice in Film Sector Development.
