Screen sector consulting firm Olsberg•SPI (“SPI”) is looking for a Senior Research Analyst to join our London-based team.

This role is client-facing and involves working across SPI’s broad portfolio of projects in the exciting global film, tv and video games sectors. The role will involve project coordination and general research/consultancy tasks. Start date ASAP.

Role Overview

The Senior Research Analyst will work across the range of SPI’s projects and will undertake high-quality qualitative research and quantitative modelling. Depending on the project, the Senior Research Analyst may also function as a Project Manager or Project Co-ordinator, leading aspects of the project, from proposal writing to delivering the final report. The role involves substantial client-facing time, and some management of standalone projects and deliverables.

General Roles and Responsibilities

Key tasks will differ across projects, but would typically include:

  • Responsibility for designing research plans and tracking project progress using standard project management tools and practices

  • Descriptive and written analysis of quantitative outputs and datasets

  • Leading desk research, including the detailed review of past reports, articles and other types of secondary data sources relevant to the project

  • Support on other economics-related tasks including modelling projections and the design and analysis of surveys

  • Management of the consultation interview process including scheduling meetings, developing consultation lists and topic guides, and leading some consultations and writing up findings

  • Writing presentations and documents to a high standard of accuracy

  • Joining, and in some cases running, internal and external project meetings with SPI’s international client base

  • Taking notes on discussions and action points at project meetings, where required

Role Details

  • Permanent full-time basis

  • The role will be based on-site at SPI’s central London office, with some possibility for flexible working

  • Competitive salary dependent on experience and expertise

  • 20-days holiday pro rata (in addition to office closure during the Christmas period and bank holidays).
