Comparison of Filming Costs for Film Location Finland

Film Location Finland is a two-year EU-funded project carried out by the POEM Foundation designed to market and maximise Finland as a shooting location for screen product. The POEM Foundation commissioned SPI to compare the filming costs of feature films in Finland and its competitor countries. The results of the comparison will be used as a marketing tool to attract shoots to Finland. The assignment includes suggesting various marketing messages concerning comparable costs that can be used to secure projects to shoot in Finland. This assignment follows another project also carried out for the POEM foundation, which required SPI to create a marketing strategy that would strengthen Finland's international competitive position as a destination for film and television production.
