Economic Impact Study of Iceland’s Screen Production Incentive

SPI were commissioned by the Ministry of Culture and Business Affairs of Iceland to undertake an Economic Impact Study of Iceland’s Screen Production Incentive.

The study looked at the direct, indirect and induced impacts of the national film incentive and its wider impacts on sector development, workforce, and infrastructure. 

The aim of the project was to investigate and quantify the role played by Iceland’s production incentive in the country’s economy and establish a baseline. This follows an increase in the Icelandic incentive in 2022.
