Osas joined SPI in 2021 as a Research Analyst. He works across SPI’s projects, providing detailed and comprehensive research and analysis.
Osas has worked for a range of SPI’s international clients, including the BFI, the Norwegian Ministry of Culture, Screen Ireland, and Film i Vast.
His current projects include a Production and Infrastructure Capacity Analysis for the Irish Mid-West region; an assessment of the film and television production markets across four African countries for the IFC; and a studio feasibility study into a potential major studio development in the APAC region. He also project managed a sector strategy study aimed at developing the Screen sector in a MENA territory.
His past projects include economic impact studies for Utah, Norway, Illinois and Estonia; evaluation studies for Screen Ireland and an Indigenous film commission; and a study on the future of European public film funding for Film i Vast.
He has an undergraduate degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Oxford University, where he developed his economic and data analysis skills. Prior to joining SPI, he worked in investment banking and financial journalism, enhancing his research skills and broadening his business and financial awareness.
Additionally, Osas serves as the Co-Chair of the Steering Committee for creative industries social enterprise, Creative Access; he sits on the board of trustees for one of London’s leading arts and culture venues, the Shoreditch Town Hall; and sits on the board of trustees for Lafiya Nigeria, a charity focused on healthcare in Nigeria. Osas also writes, directs and produces his own short films.
