Study on the impact of UK Terms of Trade undertaken for the CMPA

SPI has undertaken a review of the impact of UK’s Terms of Trade, a series of agreements relating to commissioning and rights ownership when public broadcasters and independent producers work together. The study, Impact of the 2003 Communications Act on UK Indie Producers, was undertaken for the Canadian Media Production Association. It assesses how the Terms of Trade have been a significant contributory factor in the growth of the independent television production sector following their introduction in 2004.
