SPI to Produce Five-Year Strategy for the City of Toronto’s Screen Production Sector
The City of Toronto Film Office has commissioned international creative industries consultancy Olsberg•SPI (SPI) to research and provide a comprehensive strategy to strengthen and advance Toronto’s screen production sector in the next five years (2025-2030). The Study will be guided by the Toronto Film, Television, and Digital Media Board, an industry-based working group, and the Film Office.
The City of Toronto has been an industry-leading production hub for more than 20 years; it remains committed to meeting the needs of its stakeholders and to being a top-of-mind location for productions from all over the world.
Using extensive industry consultation and research, the Study will recommend a strategic direction for the Toronto screen production sector based on several factors, including a review of the current state of the industry, past and projected competitive positioning, and priorities and programmes for its stakeholders.
