SPI Attends Kenya’s Kalasha International Film Festival

SPI Founder and Executive Chair, Jonathan Olsberg, along with research analyst Osas Esosa, are currently attending the Kalasha International Film Festival in Nairobi.

Osas and Jonathan have been invited to jointly moderate a workshop with key Kenyan Government Stakeholders to devise a roadmap for the development of the Kenyan Film and Television Industry. Additionally, Jonathan will be speaking on a panel discussing ‘Where Art Meets Commerce’, whilst Osas will be speaking on a panel discussing ‘Investing in Film Infrastructure’.

SPI’s presence at the Kalasha Festival represents a key part of their market visit to Kenya, a component of SPI’s study for the IFC, wherein SPI is evaluating the film and television production environments across four African countries.

The festival is taking place from the 27th to the 30th of March.
