SPI Advises on Two New Fiscal Incentives in Europe

New production incentives in Poland and Finland have been announced, following strategic advice from SPI in both instances. The firm was engaged by Audiovisual Finland to provide a blueprint for a new incentive in the country. The Finnish incentive came into effect in January and offers a cash rebate covering a maximum of 25% of eligible production expenditure. Meanwhile, it was recently announced that Poland will launch a cash rebate incentive, with the country’s Ministry of Culture and National Heritage preparing a bill on a scheme that would give producers a 25% rebate on qualifying Polish production expenditure. SPI undertook a detailed feasibility study into the potential for the mechanism for the Polish Audiovisual Centre Foundation.
