Research for Directors UK into career sustainability and the independent film sector

Directors UK has hired Olsberg•SPI to undertake detailed research into the issue of career sustainability for UK directors together with an analysis of conditions in the UK independent film sector. Career sustainability can be problematic for UK directors, with a high proportion struggling to produce subsequent films after a debut. The work will provide a qualitative and quantitative assessment of career sustainability, alongside an analysis of the recent performance of independently-produced UK features.
