Paid Internship Opportunity at Olsberg•SPI
Olsberg•SPI is a leading international strategy adviser to governments and businesses in the film and television sectors (www.o-spi.com). We are interested in adding an additional resource to our London-based team: a paid analyst/researcher intern who would support our work across a range of film consultancy projects. Previous occupants of this role have broadened their knowledge of and networks in the industry and gone on to solid creative and business careers in film and other areas, including remaining with our firm. Although this is an entry-level position – we don’t expect prior consultancy knowledge – we are looking for individuals with some work experience in related areas, and ideally a post-graduate degree. The degree need not be in an audio-visual-related field, but applicants should have a sharp mind as well as a close interest in the film, television, and games industries and the wider digital media sector. Basic duties include assisting with the following:
researching information on the Internet and via telephone
analysing and synthesising research results
creating and organising presentations
participating in meetings with clients
brainstorming solutions with the team
writing reports, and
supporting the team with organisational and administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate would possess as many of these qualities as possible:
an inquisitive interest in screen-based media
organisational skills, initiative and confidence
good interpersonal skills, especially when dealing with clients
flexibility and willingness to work in a relaxed but purposeful work environment
clear and concise writing skills
computer skills in basic word processing, spread sheet and presentation software, and
language skills and/or experience living in different cultures.
We are flexible in that this could be a full or part-time position (minimum 3 days a week) and we are also looking for a commitment of up to 6 months. If you would like to know more, please contact Leon Forde on leon@o-spi.com.
