Australian media discusses forthcoming Offsets report

Today, two influential Australian publications - The Australian newspaper and Inside Film - previewed Olsberg SPI's forthcoming evaluation of the Australian Film Offset system. The story in The Australian - "Push to boost film rebates to secure big-budget films" - outlines the degree to which Australia is losing out on major international productions due to the lack of competitiveness in the Location Offset. Inside Film, meanwhile, focuses on "The financial case for offset reform", describing the benefits which would accrue to Australia were proposed reforms to be taken forward. These issues will be addressed in detail in our forthcoming report for the Australian Screen Association, due to be published next week.
